Mehner plays Corinne Moynahan, Killian's (Kevin Rankin) girlfriend. She likes that Killian is protective, but gets irritated when he becomes overbearing. Corinne has been working in restaurants for years, both in the reception area and in the service area, and she is motivated to become more independent.
Sills-Evans plays Deputy Mayor Raymond Sharpe, the polished and insightful alderman from East New York.
Lee plays Sergeant of the Watch Jimmy Kee. Jimmy maintains order and decorum in the compound. He doesn't tolerate bums or loudmouths, be they policemen or civilians.
Co-written by William Finkelstein and Mike Flynn and directed by Mike Robin, the project centers on Regina Haywood (Amanda Warren), the newly promoted Deputy Inspector of East New York, a working-class slum on the eastern edge of Brooklyn. She leads a diverse group of officers and detectives, some of whom are reluctant to deploy their creative methods of serving and protecting amid social upheaval and the early seeds of gentrification.
The series also stars Jimmy Smits, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Richard Kind, Olivia Luccardi, and Lavel Schley. Finkelstein and Flynn executive produce for East New York with Skyemac Productions' Robin, Christine Holder and Wonder Street's Mark Holder. Skyemac's Andrew Maher is co-executive producer. Sills-Evans began her television career playing Darien on the CBS sitcom Cosby. Most recently, she was a series regular on the first season of CBS's Superior Donuts. He also returned to play Mike on ABC's The Conners and made appearances on SEAL Team, Treme, Person of Interest, Law and Order: SVU and New York Undercover. He is represented by JC Robbins and Artists and Managers.
Lee is best known for his portrayal of forensic analyst Vince Masuka on Showtime's hit series Dexter. Other credits include The Unborn, Come as You Are, Nora From Queens, Fresh Off the Boat and The Brothers Sun with Michelle Yeoh. He is currently recurring on For All Mankind for Apple TV+ and the Avatar series for Netflix. Lee is represented by Lighthouse Entertainment.
