Christmas at the Holly Hotel is a family Christmas romance about a big city girl, Kathy (Jesi Jensen) with a tough exterior who returns home with Holly for the holidays after a long absence. She resents moving there when she was young, but she finally overcomes these negative feelings when she meets compassionate people and a police officer, Matthew (Joe Kurak), with whom she connects.
However, Kathy's feelings for Matthew conflict with her career plans, so she continually pushes him away and struggles with her decisions. When Matthew's family and the hotel's ghosts plan to bring these two together, only Kathy can keep them apart.
Her best friend Danielle (Kristen Ryda) brings comic relief and urges Kathy to face her own resistance, and Kathy and Matthew's pranks keep this romance at bay. When they get a surprise visit on Christmas Eve, Kathy decides that she knows where home is, which is where her heart is.
