All's Fair 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer

This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Creators: Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Ryan Murphy Stars: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash The fact that a legal drama supposedly about female empowerment begins with a pilot episode written and directed by men probably tells you everything you need to know about “All’s Fair.” In fact, of the three episodes currently available on Hulu to commemorate the series premiere, only one features a significant creative credit from a woman, and it’s shared between executive producer Jamie Pachino and co-creator Ryan Murphy, who collaborated on the script for Episode 2.  But this is a review, so I’m obligated to elaborate: “All’s Fair” is a clumsy, condescending take on superficial, triumphalist feminism, undercooked even by the standards of the overworked Murphy, who co-created the series with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz. Admittedly, the tone is intentionally campy, and i...

Ginny & Georgia 2023 Season 2 Tv Series Review Trailer Cast Crew

Netflix's heartfelt and witty hit Ginny & Georgia returns for season two, and it's not too late to catch up. With only 10 hour-long episodes in the first season, it's an easy weekend binge. But what's so great about it? It's a family show that follows a mother, Georgia, and her two children, Ginny and Austin, as they try to settle in a cozy New England town after Ginny and Austin have spent their entire lives running.

Georgia is played by Brianne Howey, Ginny by Antonia Gentry, and Austin by Diesel La Torraca. Ginny is mature for her age and Georgia is a bit immature for hers. Ginny & Georgia follows the struggles of growing up, being a parent, and how complicated mother-daughter relationships are. While it may seem like your typical feel-good TV show, Georgia's past is full of dark secrets; though she feels that she's finally over them, she couldn't be more wrong. Her secrets are coming to light one way or another.

This show did well on Netflix after its release. In the first month of release, Ginny and Georgia were watched by 52 million people and in that same time period, a total of 381 million hours were watched worldwide. It also stayed in the top 10 on Netflix for a while.

After her husband mysteriously dies of a heart attack, Georgia and her children move to the idyllic New England town of Wellsbury to start anew. However, after a lifetime of constantly moving, Ginny and Austin wouldn't know how to settle in a house if it fell out of the sky and landed on them. While Georgia promises them to stay, Ginny branches out and finally begins to have authentic teenage experiences like friends and fights, boys and even parties. Despite regaining her lost teenage years, she can't help but shake the feeling that there is something fishy about her mother.

This, among a lifetime of friction, creates a difficult dynamic between Ginny and her mother. Georgia had Ginny when she was 15 and she has spent her life marrying for responsibility and survival. While she may seem like a fun young mom, she is a fighter and has a lot of problems. Her own wild streak makes her a bit overprotective of Ginny, which of course annoys her because she, like most teenagers, believes that she is nothing like her mother.

Tensions build throughout the first season, with the season ending on a cliffhanger. Ginny discovers that her mother participated in the death of her last husband because she was sexually harassing Ginny. Georgia herself was sexually harassed growing up and she wanted to end that cycle, because all she wants is a better life for her children. At the end of the season, Ginny bikes away with her younger brother after burning down the house, proving that some cycles are unbreakable. Like her mother, she runs away from home and plans to sacrifice her future to support a child.

Hopefully, season two picks up with Ginny and Austin still on the run and viewers get to see a girl and boy's struggles on their own. For the season to work, they will eventually have to go home and face their mother, if there is a home to come back to. This season, Georgia might have to face the consequences of all the selfless but wrong things she's done to survive. The revelation of Georgia's crimes will surely have an impact on her commitment to the mayor.

Along with the big reveals, in the next season, it would be great to see Ginny reunite with her estranged friends and maybe even have a boyfriend. Hopefully, now that the truth is out, Ginny and Austin can have a bit of normalcy in their lives next season.

There is also a very lovable character that the second season will bring back to the homes of the viewers. That character is none other than Joe, owner of Blue Farm Café and in love with Georgia. It was revealed in the first season that he also met Georgia once when she was a teenager, and it left quite an impact.

It was revealed in the first season that he also met Georgia once when she was a teenager, and it left quite an impact.

He met her at a rest stop while she was running away from her and shared a sandwich with her. While that may not sound like much, he was thrilled when he realized the connection to her.
