The new trailer takes place at Briarbrook summer camp on the last day of summer. As the children prepare to be sent home, the councilmen prepare for one last night of partying. Around the campfire, in the dead of night, the group engages in an old urban legend about a spirit known as Nurse Agatha. As part of a ghost story, the group participates in the form of summoning the spirit from the legend, which actually works and draws the evil spirit upon them and the camp. As things turn deadly and bloody, he forces the survivors still in the camp to band together to fight this decades-old evil.


She Came From the Woods began life as a short film that was released in 2017 before being turned into a feature film. The film will only be released in theaters in February, but it made its official debut a few months ago in August at FrightFest 2022, the UK's biggest horror and fantasy film festival. The film is described as a consignment of many an '80s horror and slasher flick, combining a tone of horror and comedy with plenty of gore to satisfy fans of the genre.


Despite the protests of his girlfriend Lauren (Clare Foley) and ominous warnings from his family who run the place, the group prick their fingers with needles and call upon the spirit of nurse Agatha, who is said to have brought terror to the camp many summers. behind.


While the notion of summer camp doesn't really exist in the UK, director Erik Bloomquist immediately draws you into the world of Camp Briarbrook with the fun throwback soundtrack being a nice contrast to the blood that gets thick and fast. as the movie unfolds. .


She Came From The Woods plays out pretty much as expected, with lots of backsplash and over-the-top death scenes.


Though there isn't much new ground, the strong cast helps take the feature down its familiar path. Cara Buono shows that she has an 80-to-T mother, giving a breakout performance with William Sadler as grandfather and founder of the camp.
