Yoo Yeon-Seok returns to our screens, this time in the role of a lawyer capable of seeing ghosts. The series feels quite nostalgic in its presentation, without necessarily attempting to conform to current trends. It immediately reminded me of shows like Phantom Lawyer, which blend comedy with heartfelt messages to craft an endearing storyline.  Only two episodes of *Phantom Lawyer* have aired so far, but I already have a feeling I’ll enjoy the rest of the series just as much. Lately, K-dramas have been so intense that this production feels like a breath of fresh air—especially within the legal drama subgenre. That said, the series also features a performance by Esom, who—in my opinion—never makes a wrong choice when selecting her roles. For the moment, it seems there won't be any romance in the series just yet; however, considering that both actors are so extraordinary in that genre, I have a hunch that romance will eventually blossom at some point. Vinland Saga Season 2 Review Trailer Cast Crew

Vinland Saga is set to debut on Netflix and Crunchy Roll early in the new year. In order to get fans excited for the return of their favorite Viking epic anime, an official trailer featuring the ending song has been posted on their website.


The trailer is set to LMYK's song “Without Love” and features a brief description that simply reads, “Against Fate: Crawl Cause and Effect. This is no doubt referring to Thorfinn's situation from season 1, as his actions in leaving home and what he did the entire time he was gone will surely have consequences.

Vinland Saga Season 2 will stream every Monday at 12:30 p.m. JPT, starting January 9, 2023, with a simulcast on Crunchyroll and Netflix a bit later in the day for the US run. The anime's second year will have 24 episodes, which will likely be split into two 12-episodes.

Covering the "prologue" arc of the original manga, the first season of Vinland Saga follows the story of a young Viking warrior named Thorfinn who joins a band of mercenaries to seek revenge for the death of his father at the hands of Askeladd, leader. of the mercenaries. When we last saw him, Thorfinn was faced with the possibility of a life beyond his quest for revenge, as well as the consequences of a fateful choice made in a moment of anger.

In other Vinland Saga news, there's also a Global Fan Art contest currently underway, according to the website. Anyone interested in submitting artwork for the 2nd Annual Contest as a way to commemorate the start of Season 2 can do so by following VINLAND SAGA's Twitter and posting related artwork of him under the hashtag.

The entry period runs from December 19, 2022 (Monday) to June 30, 2023 (Friday) at 23:59 (JST), and winners will receive a private message if they have been selected.

The anime will air on January 9, 2023, and will stream for the west on Crunchyroll and Netflix, depending on the region.

It is produced by MAPPA with Shuhei Yabuta (Chainsaw Man; Jujutsu Kaisen; Attack on Titan: The Final Season) reprising his role as director. Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw Man; Attack on Titan; Jujutsu Kaisen) is the character designer, Takahiko Abiru (Death Note; Attack on Titan Final Season) is the chief animation director, Yusuke Takeda (Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song; Penguin Highway ), Kentaro Onuki (Gintama: The Final Movie; Sword Art Online) and Izumi Hirabayashi (The Ancient Magus' Bride) served as art direction, while the soundtrack was composed by Yutaka Yamada (Alice in Borderland; Tokyo Revengers; Tokyo Ghoul).

If you're not familiar with Vinland Saga, it's based on the manga designed by Makoto Yukimura, serialized in Kodansha's Monthly Afternoon after it debuted in the pages of Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2005. It's sold a whopping 7 million copies to date.
