Saipan 2026. A film loosely based on the conflict between the Republic of Ireland coach, Mike McCarthy (Steve Coogan), and his star player, Roy Keane (Eanna Hardwicke), and Keane's subsequent departure from the Irish squad for the World Cup. To begin with, Hardwicke doesn't resemble Keane at all—she's much taller—but she does capture his arrogance. Coogan isn't an exact copy either, but she does capture his seemingly chaotic approach to player management. Brooklyn plumbers Mario (Chris Pratt; The Jurassic World and The LEGO Movie franchise) and his brother Luigi (Charlie Day; It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) work underground to fix a water pipe when they are transported through a pipe mysterious and enter a magical new world. But when the brothers are separated, Mario embarks on an epic adventure to find Luigi.


Mario finds his strength with the help of Mushroom Kingdom resident Toad (Keegan-Michael Key; The Lion King) and some training from the Mushroom Kingdom's tenacious ruler, Princess Peach (Anya Taylor-Joy; The Queen's Gambit). 


The Super Mario Brothers Movie features an outstanding comedy cast. These include Jack Black (Jumanji movies) as Bowser, Seth Rogen (Bad Neighbors series) as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen (Portlandia, Saturday Night Live) as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson (American Dad!, Family Guy) as Kamek , and Sebastián Maniscalco (Green Book) is in the role of Spike. It also features Charles Martinet as the special voice actor who has been playing the characters Mario and Luigi from the Super Mario games for over 30 years.

 Netflix has released a trailer for the new sci-fi anime, Moonrise, which shows the main character Jack in action against creatures that serve as antagonists in the Earth vs. Moon conflict. Vinland Saga is set to debut on Netflix and Crunchy Roll early in the new year. In order to get fans excited for the return of their favorite Viking epic anime, an official trailer featuring the ending song has been posted on their website. The trailer is set to LMYK's song “Without Love” and features a brief description that simply reads, “Against Fate: Crawl Cause and Effect. This is no doubt referring to Thorfinn's situation from season 1, as his actions in leaving home and what he did the entire time he was gone will surely have consequences. Vinland Saga Season 2 will stream every Monday at 12:30 p.m. JPT, starting January 9, 2023, with a simulcast on Crunchyroll and Netflix a bit later in the day for the US run.
