2026 is a monumental year for *Zillennials* everywhere—well, at least if you’re a Disney fan. If you haven’t realized it yet, it’s not just the anniversary of *Hannah Montana*, but also the anniversary of *High School Musical*! And all in the same year? Twenty years later, the nostalgia hits you like a brick the instant Miley Cyrus steps onto the scene with her blonde bangs and that shiny gold belt. Although Miley herself looks mature and elegant now, her Tennessee personality shines through instantly the moment she sets foot on the set—the very home of the Stewarts! But, almost immediately, you feel that something is missing.  That’s because most of the show’s main cast doesn’t appear in this anniversary special. Even so, I can’t complain, considering that Miley is the sole reason we had the opportunity to enjoy this special at all. Twenty years ago, when I was just a little girl myself, I had a poster of the pop star with the double life hanging on my pink and purple walls (quite...

Chop & Steele 2022 Movie Review Trailer Cast Crew

Chop and Steele may well be Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher's biggest and most successful creations. Growing up together, Pickett and Prueher realized that they both had the same likes and dislikes and the same sense of humor. As adults, they decided to pursue comedy as a career, and while their methods were unconventional, they met with (very) modest success.

Then they came up with an idea, wrote press releases and sent them to TV companies, the duo created some unique and yet non-existent characters with some extraordinary abilities. Perfect for the morning show on your local TV network, but also perfect for comedy because his talents were just as invented.

Directors: Berndt Mader, Ben Steinbauer
Writer: Alex Mac, Kenzie
Stars: Joe Pickett, Nick Prueher, Scott Bass

This caught the attention of viewers and for a time they saw the funny side, however one television company did not, so Chop and Steele created by Pickett and Prueher became a matter of taste. Chop and Steele is also the title of the documentary about their rising careers and brief brush with fame.

Showing off everything they do, the two grown men with the silliest sense of humor wanted to make people laugh. So, gathering all the VHS tapes they could find, they soon began a tour called The Found Footage Festival where they premiered these weird and wonderful tapes to a paying audience and they loved it.

The problem was that while all this was going on, the very nature of comedy was being debated on a national scale.

The problem was that while all this was going on, the very nature of comedy was being debated on a national scale. They had become an overnight success and they were getting closer to the establishment than ever before and they didn't feel comfortable. His documentary may start out as very funny and imaginative, but it soon turns into how difficult it is to do comedy, especially if you are in danger of being sued.

Backed by Bobcat Goldthwaite, Reggie Watts and David Cross, Chop and Steele come across as more than just two characters put in the firing line for all the wrong reasons. However, despite a hiatus in the documentary with their changing careers and the pandemic, you might start to think about what happens when the wrong people don't think you're funny.
