The story surrounds the Wolfson family, who are Belgian Hasidic Jews and have been running the diamond business for generations. However, after the youngest son takes his own life, things start to fall like dominoes and secrets start to come to light. Conspiracies between the family are revealed and situations escalate to the point where there is no going back. To preserve their hierarchical business, the family goes to full length without stopping.
Noah, the estranged brother who returns to Antwerp 15 years after leaving the ultra-Orthodox lifestyle, is the forerunner of the series. His role is vital and essential to the story. However, the character is more complex than he seems. The family had isolated him long ago, but he still manages to fly during his vulnerable moments. Although he shows a cold side for the rest of the world to see, there is a softer side to him that he shows to his closest confidantes. But he remains calculating to the very end and devises plans to protect the family from him at all costs.

The first few episodes are pretty slow going and mostly show the different relationship dynamics between the family. The mask of loyalty and kindness slowly begins to fall off with each passing day. Backstabbing and intrigues among the closest family members are commonplace everywhere. There are a number of plot points that keep the story exciting. The twists and turns are sometimes predictable, and few take everyone by surprise.
Also, the plot construction is executed perfectly and sets up a strong premise for the big reveal. The storytelling process is done perfectly, leaving no gaps in the plot. The only downside to the series would be the length and some of the unwanted subplots that could easily be skipped. Some cases added little to nothing to the main plot and often felt dragged down to the point where it becomes exhausting. Some of the main moments also felt flat and didn't hold up until the very end. However, the main twist in the climax ties the story together and provides a satisfying ending.
Kevin Janssens as Noah stood out the most among the cast members. He managed to portray the character perfectly. Another name worth mentioning is Ini Massez, who put in a stellar performance every time he appeared on screen. Robbie Cleiren also proved to be a fixture on the show who couldn't be replaced.
If you like family crime thrillers with similar vibes to The Godfather, then this show is perfect for you. The plot development and twists and turns keep the series interesting and intense throughout. The audience will also get a closer look at the diamond business within the Jewish community.
