All's Fair 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer

This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Creators: Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Ryan Murphy Stars: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash The fact that a legal drama supposedly about female empowerment begins with a pilot episode written and directed by men probably tells you everything you need to know about “All’s Fair.” In fact, of the three episodes currently available on Hulu to commemorate the series premiere, only one features a significant creative credit from a woman, and it’s shared between executive producer Jamie Pachino and co-creator Ryan Murphy, who collaborated on the script for Episode 2.  But this is a review, so I’m obligated to elaborate: “All’s Fair” is a clumsy, condescending take on superficial, triumphalist feminism, undercooked even by the standards of the overworked Murphy, who co-created the series with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz. Admittedly, the tone is intentionally campy, and i...

Choose Love 2023 Movie Review Trailer

Have you ever been so frustrated by a romantic comedy that you wanted to choose who would be the main character? Now you can with Netflix's interactive movie "Choose Love," the trailer for which dropped Tuesday.

The story features Laura Marano (“Austin & Ally,” “The Perfect Date”) as Cami Conway, who seems pretty content with her life and her boyfriend Paul (Scott Michael Foster) until she goes to see a tarot reader who tells her that your life may be missing something. She doesn't exactly love her sound mixing job, but the rest of her is manageable.

Director: Stuart McDonald
Writer: Josann McGibbon
Stars: Laura Marano, Avan Jogia, Scott Michael Foster

The fun begins when she is faced with multiple life choices that could take her in a different direction. She bumps into childhood sweetheart Jack Menna (Jordi Webber) one day after it hadn't crossed her mind in years, and soon after, if she decides not to kiss him when they catch up, she has a recording session with musician Rex Galier (Avan Jogia), whose rock star charm can rival that of the two men mentioned above.

Viewers can guide Cami through the difficult decisions of her life, from continuing conversations with men to sharing her honest opinion of herself. In the end, she will have to choose one of the three, and the plot thickens when she discovers that Paul has bought a ring from her to propose to her. He plans to take her to dinner at a very fancy restaurant, and this must be her reason.

She does a duet with Galier de Jogia; both stars hail from Disney and Nickelodeon, respectively, and are no strangers to musical performances.

"You're not an 'era' to me," Jack says towards the end of the clip. "You are an 'is'."

The film is Netflix's latest interactive special. Previous such releases include the “Black Mirror” special, “Bandersnatch,” a “Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous” children's special, an “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” comedy, and the Bear Grylls special “You vs. Wild”.

Directed by Stuart McDonald and written by Josann McGibbon, "Choose Love" is produced by Robyn Snyder and Deborah Evans, Mel Turner, Axel Paton and Josann McGibbon.

“Choose Love” arrives on Netflix on August 31.
