This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Killer Book Club 2023 Movie Review Trailer

Killer Book Club (The club of criminal readers), is the new Spanish horror drama that will arrive on Netflix. The movie is expected to bring you some real scares and so if you are looking to add another creepy movie to your watch list, this might be the new addition. The movie was first announced at Netflix Geeked Week 2022, where the platform shared trailers for upcoming movies that were coming to streaming soon.


The platform has found great success with its Spanish-language content, especially with the success of shows like Money Heist and more. The next movie will be a slasher movie and for those who have enjoyed franchises like Scream and Happy Death Day, this one falls into a similar genre that is enough to bring you to the edge of your seat.

The film stars Veki Velilla as Angela, Álvaro Mel as Sebas, Carlos Alcaide as Rai, Hamza Zaidi as Koldo, Iván Pellicer as Nando, Ane Rot as Sara and María Cerezuela as Eva in the main roles. The cast also includes Priscilla Delgado and Daniel Grao.


The film is adapted from the homonymous book by Carlos García Miranda. It revolves around a group of eight teenagers who are threatened by a creepy clown. After discovering a rather grim secret that they share, a killer clown tries to hunt down the members of the group one by one. Who will survive the terrifying encounter with the clown and how is the mystery that remains to be deciphered. The horror-loving teens in the book club, when faced with an actual moment of terror, begin to fall apart and also turn on each other.


The teenagers get into trouble after being accomplices in a prank that ends in a deadly accident. Although the group decides to keep quiet about the matter, their secret leads them to be threatened by an anonymous writer. The witness then further threatens to post a horror novel based on them on social media while he goes after them.


The Spanish film has been directed by Carlos Alonso-Ojea with a script written by Carlos García Miranda. The horror drama is set to premiere on Netflix on August 25, 2023. The streaming platform released a trailer for the movie and it shows the creepy killer clown in terrifying moments as he prepares to attack teenagers. From spooky scenes in deserted libraries to dark alleyways, the trailer shows how the film will consist of several jumpscare moments. The movie will run for one hour and twenty-nine minutes and is expected to be a chilling ride.


Killer Book Club will be available to stream on Netflix on August 25.
