“The Good Mother,” Albany-raised writer-director Miles Joris-Peyrafitte's feature film shows the city in its raw authenticity (and shows how the opioid epidemic destroys lives) and does not neglect the difficulties of the newspaper business, struggling to remain financially viable.
“The Good Mother” will be released on September 1st.

A trailer for The Good Mother was released on Vertical's YouTube channel on August 2, 2023. The video opens with a montage of Michael's last moments, in which we see a car chasing him as he flees on foot through deserted streets, eventually being shot.
