Kengan Ashura 2023 Tv Series Season 2 Review Trailer

On the spookiest day of all, Halloween, we were blessed with the release of Kengan Ashura part 2 on Netflix. This new season brings action-packed fight scenes, a deeper look at the show's many supporting characters, as well as plenty of interactions between them. If you were a fan of the first part that came out earlier this year, you will definitely be a fan of this new part.

Don't worry, there won't be any spoilers for this season, but there will be spoilers for the first, so if you haven't watched part 1 yet, my short review is that you definitely should. Also note that I haven't read the Kengan Ashura manga (yes, I'm normal), so I won't be able to compare and won't notice any changes made, this is strictly moving pictures. version!

Stars: Tatsuhisa Suzuki, Chô, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka

They've really improved the character interactions in this new season, and many of the friendlier side characters have interactions with each other that have a lot of charm to them. While they are usually small interactions, they show a lot of character and a legitimate friendship between the fighters, even if they are all potential opponents of each other. These character interactions tend to be short but sweet, but they also show us a bit of the characters' personalities, from sarcastic quips to deeper, more meaningful looks at how all the characters feel about each other. Overall, it's nice to see some camaraderie, even if these people are potentially going to fight each other.

We even get some interactions between wrestlers who have competed against each other in the previous season, in Cosmo Imai and Adam Dudley, with the former being the winner. This relationship really fleshes out Dudley's character, who seemed to be just another tough guy with no real personality who simply existed to be written off and forgotten (don't worry, there are still plenty of those in this season).

We also get a good amount of cameos from wrestlers who were eliminated last season this season. As I mentioned before, Adam Dudley has become a supporting character this season and we get smaller cameos from other characters who were eliminated like Ryo Inaba aka the hairdresser and Harou Kono the strongest player in the Himalayas.

However, this season doesn't just rely on past characters, as we get many new and interesting characters, as well as the debut of the Kengan Annihilation Tournament champion, The Fang of Metsudo. This season also features the debut of fan-favorite character Gaolang and his fierce rival Saw Paing. We also have more fodder characters for this season, because someone has to lose with the main characters and I would say that the ones they have in this season are much more interesting, like the Mickey Mouse copy.

The fights this season are great, and many of the characters teased last season had their moments in the spotlight. We also find a lot of contrast in these fights, with characters who have opposite ideals and styles really coming out in the fights. One thing I've always liked about this series is that most of the martial arts techniques are realistic, although more cinematic. Obviously there are some techniques that are extremely unrealistic, but they are vastly surpassed by the real techniques of the styles that go into the story, they even make stories for some of the fake styles that are in the series, which is also cool. .

There are some drawbacks though, nothing is perfect, but a big problem for me is the lack of screen time our main character, Ohma Tokita, has. I'd have to go back and check it, but I'm pretty sure there are entire episodes where we don't see or hear anything about him, giving the other characters time to shine, but it's still a little off. The show also primarily uses 3D animation for the characters whenever they move and while this doesn't bother me, I know that some fans really don't like the use of 3D animation.

Overall, Part 2 is a great addition to the series and a great follow-up to the last part. Excellent voice acting, action, and well-done characters make this show a must-see for any action anime fan.
