This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Creators: Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Ryan Murphy Stars: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash The fact that a legal drama supposedly about female empowerment begins with a pilot episode written and directed by men probably tells you everything you need to know about “All’s Fair.” In fact, of the three episodes currently available on Hulu to commemorate the series premiere, only one features a significant creative credit from a woman, and it’s shared between executive producer Jamie Pachino and co-creator Ryan Murphy, who collaborated on the script for Episode 2.  But this is a review, so I’m obligated to elaborate: “All’s Fair” is a clumsy, condescending take on superficial, triumphalist feminism, undercooked even by the standards of the overworked Murphy, who co-created the series with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz. Lonely Crime Fanatic 2024 Movie Review Trailer

 The air lights up with electricity when an isolated true crime fan finds herself in the presence of her beloved podcast host. Initially, meeting her seems like a dream come true, a meeting of minds deeply rooted in the mysteries of the criminal world. 

However, her appeal quickly fades when the podcast host's admiration for her morphs into something much more disturbing: a disturbing obsession.

As the story unfolds, the once charming exchanges take on a sinister tone, leaving the true crime fan feeling increasingly uncomfortable and vulnerable.

With each passing interaction, the true crime fan is faced with the realization that her idolization has taken a dark turn. She finds herself navigating a treacherous landscape of manipulation and control, desperately seeking to escape the clutches of her former hero-turned-torturer. 

In this twisted tale of obsession and betrayal, the sparks that once ignited emotion now threaten to consume everything in their path, leaving behind only the ashes of what could have been.

 Netflix has released a trailer for the new sci-fi anime, Moonrise, which shows the main character Jack in action against creatures that serve as antagonists in the Earth vs. Moon conflict. Although no firm release date has been provided for the anime series yet, Moonrise will stream on Netflix sometime in 2024. Announced on Netflix Tudum 2022, Moonrise is written by novelist Tou Ubukata, best known for his excellent work on Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass 2, and Psycho-Pass 3.  Netflix went all out to unveil its highly anticipated miniseries “The Leopard,” based on Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa’s classic novel set in Sicily, marking the platform’s biggest splash in Italy yet.
