This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu.  The life of a superstar is far from normal, especially when you are the famous rapper Vince Staples. Try the fast track on The Vince Staples Show, a new limited comedy series created by the rapper himself and executive produced by Kenya Barris, the brainchild behind the award-winning black-ish comedy.

True to the name, the irreverent comedy series follows Staples living a seemingly normal life, which quickly devolves into foot races, high-speed chases through the streets of Long Beach, and even entanglements in bank robberies. But for this famous, rich and suspiciously criminal artist, anything goes. After all, what's the worst that could happen?

Featuring numerous guest stars, The Vince Staples Show presents a semi-fictional portrait of the rapper's daily adventures, amplifying average scenarios to hyperbolic extremes. All five episodes of The Vince Staples Show arrived on Netflix on February 15, 2024. For those new to the platform, Netflix offers several subscription models to start your binge-watching journey. Among its options, the streaming platform has shows like American Vandal, a mockumentary that delves into the aftermath of a scandalous high school prank that involved defacing faculty cars with phallic images. 

Another option is Cunk on Earth, which offers a deadpan but fun look at humanity, with Philomena Cunk (Diane Morgan) exploring the world's greatest inventions in consultation with top experts.


Netflix released the trailer for The Vince Staples Show on January 17, 2024, offering glimpses into Staples' seemingly "ordinary" existence: hanging out with friends, going to the theme park, and even getting yelled at by a cashier at a fast-food restaurant. 

However, as the trailer unfolds, the audience witnesses the rapper getting into increasingly bizarre hijinks. From trying to get bail to almost getting shot in a parking lot, and even getting caught up in a bank robbery, at this point, Staples' life continues to take unexpected turns. But nothing surprises Staples; His sentiment is casually summed up as “just another day in the life” of Vince Staples.
