In episode 4 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Baelor advised Dunk to demand a trial by combat with Aerion, because if he opted for a straight trial, he would be killed not only for striking a prince but also for allegedly kidnapping Egg. Dunk accepted Baelor's proposal because he knew he could take on Aerion in a one-on-one fight, but when he demanded a trial by combat, it backfired, because Aerion demanded a trial of seven.  This meant that Dunk would have to gather six other knights and fight Aerion and his six knights. Steffon was the first person to claim he would side with Dunk. Daeron said he would fall without much resistance during the trial to make up for the fact that he had lied about Dunk kidnapping Egg. And on the day of the fight, Egg convinced Lyonel, Robyn, Hardyng, and Beesbury to fight alongside Dunk. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire 2024 Movie Review Trailer

The highly anticipated premiere of “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” took place Monday night at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles, and initial reactions are already flooding social media.

In this epic kaiju film, audiences finally witness the exciting team-up of Godzilla and Kong as they team up to combat a new global threat.

Filmmaker Adam Wingard returns to the director's chair for “The New Empire,” joined by familiar faces from the MonsterVerse franchise like Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle. British actor Dan Stevens, known for his collaboration with Wingard in “The Guest” (2014), joins the cast. Additionally, new additions to the ensemble include Fala Chen, Alex Ferns and Rachel House. The script is written by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett and Jeremy Slater.


“The New Empire” marks the fifth installment in the MonsterVerse series, following “Godzilla” (2014), “Kong: Skull Island” (2017), “Godzilla: King of the Monsters” (2019) and “Godzilla vs. Kong (2021). Notably, the franchise has expanded beyond the big screen with the release of the anime series “Skull Island” (2023) on Netflix and the live-action series “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” (2023) on Apple TV+.


While full reviews for “The New Empire” will be released on Thursday, early reactions to the premiere offer a glimpse of the excitement surrounding the film.

 Netflix has released a trailer for the new sci-fi anime, Moonrise, which shows the main character Jack in action against creatures that serve as antagonists in the Earth vs. Moon conflict.
