The Swedish-language series, adapted from Lindgren's best-selling book by acclaimed writer Hans Rosenfeldt, creator of “The Bridge” and “Marcella,” and directed by Lisa James Larsson (“Victoria”), promises an unforgettable journey. “Ronja the Robber’s Daughter” tells the adventures of a young woman born into a gang of thieves in a medieval Scandinavian fortress.
As Ronja matures, she discovers that the surrounding forest harbors magic and danger. When Ronja befriends Birk, a boy from a rival gang, a fierce family feud breaks out, forcing them to flee into the woods and fend for themselves.
Led by a talented cast including Kerstin Linden, Jack Bergenholtz Henriksson, Christopher Wagelin, Krista Kosonen, Johan Ulveson and Sverrir Gudnason, the series is produced by Bonnie Skoog Feeney and Mattias Arehn (“Beartown”) of Filmlance, a Banijay company .

Netflix has released a trailer for the new sci-fi anime, Moonrise, which shows the main character Jack in action against creatures that serve as antagonists in the Earth vs. Moon conflict. Although no firm release date has been provided for the anime series yet, Moonrise will stream on Netflix sometime in 2024. Announced on Netflix Tudum 2022, Moonrise is written by novelist Tou Ubukata, best known for his excellent work on Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass 2, and Psycho-Pass 3. Beloved artist Hiromu Akawara, who previously worked on the hit series from the Fullmetal Alchemist manga, will also join the show as a character designer. In order to get fans excited for the return of their favorite Viking epic anime, an official trailer featuring the ending song has been posted on their website. The trailer is set to LMYK's song “Without Love” and features a brief description that simply reads, “Against Fate: Crawl Cause and Effect. This is no doubt referring to Thorfinn's situation from season 1, as his actions in leaving home and what he did the entire time he was gone will surely have consequences.
