Saipan 2026. A film loosely based on the conflict between the Republic of Ireland coach, Mike McCarthy (Steve Coogan), and his star player, Roy Keane (Eanna Hardwicke), and Keane's subsequent departure from the Irish squad for the World Cup. To begin with, Hardwicke doesn't resemble Keane at all—she's much taller—but she does capture his arrogance. Coogan isn't an exact copy either, but she does capture his seemingly chaotic approach to player management. Amar Singh Chamkila 2024 Movie Review Trailer

 The initial reactions to Imtiaz Ali's latest Netflix venture 'Chamkila' starring Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra are out, and it seems like the audience is completely impressed with this musical biopic. With 'Chamkila', director Imtiaz Ali takes us back to the life and times of the late legendary singer Amar Singh Chamkila, often dubbed as the 'Elvis Presley of Punjab'.

On a Monday night, Netflix in collaboration with MAMI hosted a preview of 'Chamkila', which was attended by many celebrities including Mrunal Thakur, Avneet Kaur, Shweta Basu Prasad, Ishwak Singh and Bhuvan Bam. After the screening, Shweta and Ishwak shared their reviews and both echoed the sentiment that 'Chamkila' is definitely a "must watch".

Sharing her thoughts with the MAMI team, Shweta expressed, “I will definitely recommend other people to watch the film. It was like attending a live concert. Now I feel like I know Amar Singh Chamkila much better. I think people should watch it for Diljit, Imtiaz sir and the music. “It is exceptionally well crafted.”


Similarly, Ishwak commented, “It deserves a place on everyone's must-watch list. It is a truly special film: inspiring, moving and deeply rooted. Furthermore, he carries Imtiaz Ali’s signature enthusiasm and boldness.”


An X user praised the film, saying, “'Chamkila' is an incredible cinematic experience. Imtiaz Ali's direction is brilliant, combined with excellent narration and fascinating music by @arrahman. @diljitdosanjh delivers an exceptional performance.”

 Netflix has released a trailer for the new sci-fi anime, Moonrise, which shows the main character Jack in action against creatures that serve as antagonists in the Earth vs. Moon conflict. Vinland Saga is set to debut on Netflix and Crunchy Roll early in the new year. In order to get fans excited for the return of their favorite Viking epic anime, an official trailer featuring the ending song has been posted on their website. The trailer is set to LMYK's song “Without Love” and features a brief description that simply reads, “Against Fate: Crawl Cause and Effect. This is no doubt referring to Thorfinn's situation from season 1, as his actions in leaving home and what he did the entire time he was gone will surely have consequences. Vinland Saga Season 2 will stream every Monday at 12:30 p.m. JPT, starting January 9, 2023, with a simulcast on Crunchyroll and Netflix a bit later in the day for the US run.
