Saipan 2026. A film loosely based on the conflict between the Republic of Ireland coach, Mike McCarthy (Steve Coogan), and his star player, Roy Keane (Eanna Hardwicke), and Keane's subsequent departure from the Irish squad for the World Cup. To begin with, Hardwicke doesn't resemble Keane at all—she's much taller—but she does capture his arrogance. Coogan isn't an exact copy either, but she does capture his seemingly chaotic approach to player management. Directors: Lisa Barros D'Sa, Glenn Leyburn Writer:: Paul Fraser Stars: Éanna Hardwicke, Steve Coogan, Peter McDonald What I felt while watching the film was the disastrous state of Irish planning. Apartment404 2024 Tv Series Review Trailer

In “Apartment 404,” now available to stream on Prime Video, viewers are treated to a unique blend of mystery solving and variety show entertainment. The premise revolves around a group of artists, comedians and actors who come together to unravel fact-based mysteries centered on a decades-old apartment complex in Seoul.

The atmosphere is light-hearted and slightly eccentric, with the celebrity cast engaging in fun pranks, quirky challenges and retro-themed activities as they piece together clues from the past.

Stars: Jennie Kim, Oh Na-ra, Cha Tae-hyun

The opening shot of the series sets the stage by offering a brief history of apartment life in Seoul, from its beginnings in the 1930s to the present day, highlighting the importance of the chosen environment. As the contestants embark on their adventure, led by familiar faces like Blackpink's Yoo Jae-suk and Jennie, they find themselves thrust into the unknown, unsure of what challenges await them or what mysteries they must solve.

Their journey takes them back to 1998, with the apartment complex serving as a time capsule filled with relics of the past, including outdated appliances, touch-tone phones, and VHS home videos. As you explore the units, there are clues scattered everywhere, waiting to be discovered. Each participant is assigned a unique identifier, adding an element of intrigue as they decipher cryptic messages and piece together the puzzle.

Despite the camaraderie and laughter shared among the contestants, the pacing of “Apartment 404” occasionally falters as they navigate repetitive clues and participate in cumbersome games designed to aid their investigation. While the series offers glimpses of the celebrities' personalities and interactions, these moments are often overshadowed by the slow progression of the central mystery.

Although “Apartment 404” boasts a talented cast and an intriguing premise, its reliance on filler and lackluster pacing take away from its overall appeal. However, the promise of future episodes set in different time periods and featuring new challenges offers hope for potential improvements and renewed viewer engagement. As the cast delves into the mysteries of decades past, viewers can expect a mix of nostalgia, humor and suspense to keep them entertained.
