All's Fair 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer

This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Creators: Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Ryan Murphy Stars: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash The fact that a legal drama supposedly about female empowerment begins with a pilot episode written and directed by men probably tells you everything you need to know about “All’s Fair.” In fact, of the three episodes currently available on Hulu to commemorate the series premiere, only one features a significant creative credit from a woman, and it’s shared between executive producer Jamie Pachino and co-creator Ryan Murphy, who collaborated on the script for Episode 2.  But this is a review, so I’m obligated to elaborate: “All’s Fair” is a clumsy, condescending take on superficial, triumphalist feminism, undercooked even by the standards of the overworked Murphy, who co-created the series with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz. The Greatest Hits 2024 Movie Review Trailer

Living in the past, especially when dealing with grief, can be a complex journey. But when time travel is added to the mix, it becomes a recipe for compelling storytelling. “The Greatest Hits” vacillates between potential greatness and frustrating moments, ultimately delivering a solid film with touches of brilliance.

The film revolves around Harriet (played by Lucy Boynton), who has been dealing with the sudden loss of her boyfriend Max (David Corenswet) for the past two years.

Director: Ned Benson
Writer: Ned Benson
Stars: Lucy Boynton, David Corenswet, Retta

To complicate matters further, she discovers that she can travel through time whenever she listens to music from her relationship. Determined to save Max in the past, Harriet isolates herself from the present and relies solely on the support of her grief counselor (Retta) and her best friend (Austin Crute).

However, when she meets David (Justin H. Min) at a grief group, she becomes attracted to him despite her emotional turmoil. The film explores Harriet's struggle to balance her budding relationship with David while she grapples with memories of Max. It's a moving journey full of emotional depth and maturity that resonates long after the credits roll.

Lucy Boynton gives a standout performance, seamlessly navigating Harriet's complex emotions and time travel experiences. Justin H. Min brings a charming awkwardness to his role as David, while supporting cast members, including Austin Crute and Retta, contribute effectively to the narrative.

Filmmaker Ned Benson crafts the story with a strong focus on emotions, avoiding overly complicated time travel concepts. While the film occasionally stumbles over narrative and pacing obstacles, its emotional core remains strong.

“The Greatest Hits” delivers a compelling blend of romance, drama and high-concept storytelling that is sure to captivate audiences.

Overall, if you're in the mood for a romantic comedy-drama with a unique twist, “The Greatest Hits” is definitely worth a watch. Whether in theaters or on Hulu, it's a journey that will leave you reflecting on love, loss, and the passage of time.
