Bullet Train” is going full steam ahead, and Brad Pitt is having a hard time carrying out his supposedly simple mission on board. The new trailer for David Leitch's "Bullet Train," which opens in theaters August 5, reveals the boss/employee relationship between Pitt's murderous character and Sandra Bullock's anonymous handler, who assigns Pitt a " first easy job" after giving Pitt a new code name: Ladybug.

It's all an attempt to change Ladybug's "biblical" bad luck after a series of mishaps at work, including a suicidal bellboy and a bad run-in with a fellow hit man, played by Benito A Martínez Ocasio, aka Bad Bunny. "Even when I'm not even trying to kill people, people die," Ladybug (Pitt) says in the trailer.

Director: David Leitch
Writers: Kôtarô Isaka, Zak Olkewicz
Stars: Joey King, Karen Fukuhara, Zazie Beetz

Bullock sends Ladybug on a seemingly easy new mission to pick up a briefcase on a bullet train headed from Tokyo to Kyoto. However, that train seems to be packed with trained deadly assassins, played by Michael Shannon, Joey King, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Bad Bunny. And Ladybug doesn't stand a chance, it seems.

"You look like every white bum I've ever seen," jokes Henry when Pitt's sissy asks if he recognizes him. Sony's official synopsis reads: “An original movie event, 'Bullet Train' is a hilarious and wacky action thriller from 'Deadpool 2' director David Leitch. Brad Pitt leads a cast of eclectic and diverse assassins, all with connected but conflicting goals, against the backdrop of a nonstop journey through modern Japan."

Director and former “John Wick” stuntman Leitch is directing the action comedy based on the graphic novel “Maria Beetle” by Kōtarō Isaka. It was previously revealed that long-time collaborator Pitt, for whom Leitch previously acted as his stunt double, performed "95 percent" of his own stunts for "Bullet Train."

"We were lucky enough to be shooting in Los Angeles during a time when the artists were ready to get back to work and to have Brad on the project, fresh off an Oscar win and with a great script by Zak Olkewicz, really brought in the best people." ". Leitch told Vulture. "We were able to safely get people back to work during a pandemic, which is pretty amazing."

As the train reaches its final stop in Kyoto, White Death (Michael Shannon) waits with his men while Ladybug steps onto the platform with the briefcase. White Death prepares to kill Ladybug after mistaking him for Carter (Ryan Reynolds), who is revealed to be the one responsible for killing White Death's wife in an attempt to kill White Death himself.

While holding Ladybug at gunpoint, White Death confronts the Prince, who is revealed to be his resentful daughter, who wants to kill him after years of abusing and favoring her brother. Daring him to shoot him with Kimura's gun, he fights it off and orders his men to open the briefcase, setting off the explosives and throwing himself, his daughter, and Ladybug onto the train in the process.

With all the passengers off the train, Lemon sets the train in motion as Ladybug, Kimura, and the Old Man fend off White Death and his men. With the train speeding further and further out of control, Lemon and Ladybug attempt to slow down as the Ancient One wounds White Death in a duel. As the train passes over a bridge, Lemon forgives Ladybug for killing Tangerine before tackling one of White Death's men off the train and into the river, saving Ladybug's life. Ladybug makes one last effort to stop the train to no avail, and the train derails in a small town.

Believing that everyone, including Wolf and Hornet, had a role to play in his wife's death, White Death arranged for his son to be kidnapped in order to force them all onto the train, with Carver's replacement of Ladybug being the only flaw in his. plan. He then takes Kimura's gun and prepares to shoot Ladybug, but is killed when the gun's explosives go off.

Ladybug, Kimura, and the Old Man confront the Prince, who holds them at gunpoint before being run over by Lemon, who survived the fall of the bridge and arrived in the city in a tangerine truck, thus avenging Tangerine's death. Soon after, Kimura and the Old Man flee the scene as Maria arrives to escort Ladybug to safety. Ladybug then affirms her new positive outlook on life.
