All's Fair 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer

This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Creators: Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Ryan Murphy Stars: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash The fact that a legal drama supposedly about female empowerment begins with a pilot episode written and directed by men probably tells you everything you need to know about “All’s Fair.” In fact, of the three episodes currently available on Hulu to commemorate the series premiere, only one features a significant creative credit from a woman, and it’s shared between executive producer Jamie Pachino and co-creator Ryan Murphy, who collaborated on the script for Episode 2.  But this is a review, so I’m obligated to elaborate: “All’s Fair” is a clumsy, condescending take on superficial, triumphalist feminism, undercooked even by the standards of the overworked Murphy, who co-created the series with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz. Admittedly, the tone is intentionally campy, and i...

Echoes 2022 Tv Series Review Trailer Cast Crew

Echoes is a 2022 Argentine mystery thriller about a writer and his family who find themselves in mortal danger during a stormy night. Also known as Echoes of a Crime Directed by Cristian Bernard from a script written by Gabriel Korenfeld. Produced by Fernando Abadi and Ricardo Freixa.

The Particular Crowd-Tieless Media production stars Diego Peretti, Julieta Cardinali, Carla Quevedo, Diego Cremonesi, Carola Reyna, Florencia González and Alfonso Bunge. Written and directed by Anthony Kalmetta, the mystery of Echoes is shrouded in time and bitter regret. The 13-minute film follows Oliver as he, with only shards of memory, struggles to rebuild the life he shared with his significant other, stumbling into his house, which is both the place where things die and his grave.

Stars: Tyner Rushing, Deja Dee, Isaiah Stratton

Oliver (Dane Oliver), alone in a house that has clearly been hastily vacated, goes through things, sometimes a candy wrapper, sometimes an old cassette, in a daze. Both he and the house are haunted by the past and time itself. Echoes of himself echo through the house, making him panic at answers that seem close, but are just out of reach. His partner Ava (Melanie Abernathy) is physically absent, and yet she is everywhere, from a Polaroid Oliver is holding, to the video on the cassette, to moments in time that have returned to Oliver; it is both a punishment and the key to the answers she desperately seeks.

Best-selling thriller writer Julian Lemar goes on vacation with his family (wife Valeria, daughter Sofia, and baby Santi) to a secluded villa in the woods. The first night a strong storm breaks out and the power goes out. A few seconds pass and a mysterious desperate woman appears: her husband has just killed her young son and now he wants to kill her too. From then on, danger and deception are a constant threat. And for Julián a hellish night begins in his quest to discover the truth.

The winning aspect of Echoes is the editing of it, which executes its non-linear timeline in a way that's gripping without being confusing. In fact, the narration is very absorbing; one of his best scenes is where Oliver can hear snippets of a conversation Ava had with (presumably) him, a long time ago. This too comes at a crucial point, becoming a turning point for Oliver, and not in a way that brings him comfort.
