Disney has announced that it will release the first trailer for the upcoming live-action remake of the classic animated film, "Pinocchio," on GoodMorning America on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.

During the annual meeting of shareholders of the Walt Disney Companies, Disney opened the presentation with a video montage of some of Disney's biggest hits in movies, television, theme parks and more.

The trailer's handful of quick shots establish how much of the film will focus on Jiminy Cricket (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) as he meets the likes of Sofia the Seagull (Lorraine Bracco) and "Honest" John Worthington Foulfellow (Keegan-Michael Key), a chattering fox. What's interesting is that even though Pinocchio is very much a live-action movie, its fantastical storybook characters have been portrayed more or less as "realistic" versions of their classic Disney cartoon counterparts, which surely It will be a staunch aesthetic choice. fans don't have strong feelings about when the movie hits Disney Plus on September 8.

With Zemeckis co-writing alongside Chris Weitz, the story is expected to follow the usual Pinocchio path, about a wooden puppet crafted by wood carver Geppetto who dreams of being a real boy and goes on a quest to achieve his goal.
