Paramount+ and Nickelodeon have released the trailer for Monster High: The Movie. The live-action musical is another adaptation of the popular franchise that focuses on the children of famous monsters and horror creatures. The streaming platform and network also took the opportunity to announce the release date for the film, which opens in early October, just in time for the spooky season. In the story, a teenage girl arrives at Monster High School and, just as she begins to fit in, an evil threat puts her new friends in danger.
The trailer for Monster High: The Movie reveals impressive production values, inviting you into a colorful but not silly world. Some important monster rules are also taught, such as never touching a closed coffin because it's extremely rude. In a shocking twist, a non-monster has apparently infiltrated the students, and it's hard to tell who the intruder is when they all have a slightly devious side.

Green plays Clawdeen, half-human, half-werewolf, thrilled to join Monster High despite the challenge of being half-monster in a school of completely monster students. Lin plays Dracula's daughter, the vampire Draculaura, who seems like the perfect dictionary definition of a monster. But she hides a deep desire to become a witch, which is strictly forbidden in the world of monsters.
Menas plays Frankie Stein, brought to life by his scientist parents just 15 days ago, and is figuring out who they are and who they want to be. Revolori plays Deuce Gorgon: The son of Medusa and Lyra, Deuce is often influenced by the snakes that live in his head and get him into trouble.
Mohammed plays Cleo De Nile, a monstrous mummy who knows that she is destined for greatness, if only everyone else would admit it and get out of her way. Rodriguez plays Lagoona Blue, who grew up in an ancient underwater Mayan castle with her mother an ocean nymph and her father her sea monster, the sweet but fierce Lagoona doesn't know much about life on land.
Kahn plays Toralei Stripe, coming from an elite monster family, Toralei is a werecat and the "bad girl" at Monster High. Old-fashioned and brave, Toralei is committed to her cause of preserving society from monsters. Polinsky plays Heath Burns, as temperamental and passionate as the son of Hades would be, he is literally a hothead who can get irritated by anything and is prone to fiery outbursts. Wilson plays Principal Bloodgood, the school's headless supervisor. Principal Bloodgood has a tendency to wander around at night to check on the students. Monster High: The Movie opens on October 6.
