Mr. Harrigan's Phone 2022 Movie Review Trailer Cast Crew

Mr. Harrigan's Phone is coming to Netflix on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, and the official trailer dropped this morning. The film is an adaptation of one of the stories featured in Stephen King's recent collection of four novels, If It Bleeds (2020).

The upcoming film comes from "American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy and Blumhouse, with John Lee Hancock writing and directing. In the novel Mr. Harrigan's Phone, 25-year-old Craig narrates a story from his adolescence. As a child, he works for his elderly billionaire neighbor, Mr. John Harrigan. He befriends the older man and spends every afternoon with him, even giving him a cell phone. As Mr. Harrigan walks by, Craig is surprised to find that he can still reach him on the phone.

The movie seems to follow the same plot. Explore the twists and turns that come with communicating with a dead man who kept such dark secrets while he was alive. The original novel is a little over 80 pages long, so Hancock underwent a lot of creative exploration to write a full screenplay. Fortunately, Stephen King felt the script was true to his story and greenlit production to begin.

King himself recently tweeted: "I have seen a near finished version of Mr. Harrigan's Phone, written and directed by John Lee Hancock, and it is nothing short of brilliant."

Check out the trailer for Mr. Harrigan's Phone below, a great first look at the movie that instantly puts it at the top of the list of must-see new horror movies this Halloween season.
