The official trailer for Blue's Big City Adventure kicks off with a montage of exciting moments, including the introduction of Rainbow Puppy performing on Broadway. Seeking the opportunity of a lifetime, Blue and Josh, played by Josh Dela Cruz, skateboard to New York City, where they plan to audition for the Rainbow Puppy musical. As Blue and Josh venture through New York, they meet new friends and seem to be having the time of their lives until they finally find themselves lost in the Big Apple in the midst of all its excitement. They won't have to worry about it for long, though, because at home, Mr. Salt and Mrs. Pepper notice Josh's forgotten Handy Dandy Notebook. The beloved condiments embark on their own quest to reunite Josh with his famous notebook, joining Slippery Soap and Tickety Tock as they search for a familiar face to help them accomplish their mission.

Blue's Big City Adventure follows Josh getting the chance of a lifetime from him: the chance to audition for the Broadway musical of Rainboy Puppy. The entire cast of Blue's Clues reunited for this special cinematic event, as beloved hosts Josh, Steve and Joe reunite in New York City. Traci Paige Johnson will play Blue and Brianna Bryan will play Rainbow Puppy. Produced by Nickelodeon Animation, directed by Matt Stawski and written by Angela C. Santomero, Blue's Big City Adventure features special guest appearances by BD Wong, Ali Stoker, Taboo, Alex Winter, Philippa Soo and Steven Pasquale. Republic Records: Kids & Family will release the lead single "On Our Way" on October 7, with a full album of original songs from the mobile set due for release on November 18.
Blue's Clues is an American children's television show that mixes live action with animation. It premiered on Nickelodeon during its Nick Jr. block on September 8, 1996, with beloved host Steve and the eponymous Blue working together to solve mysteries with viewers. In 2002, Donovan Patton as Steve's "brother" Joe replaced Steve for the remainder of the series. The original series concluded its run in August 2006. The series received a spin-off in 2004 called Blue's Room, and in 2019 a revival titled Blue's Clues & You! premiered on Nickelodeon. Blue's Clues had an undeniable cultural impact from its original release. The series was distributed in 120 countries and translated into 15 languages. It has the distinction of being one of the first programs made for preschoolers to incorporate American Sign Language into its content. It's no wonder, then, that Blue's Clues has received so many awards for excellence in children's programming, educational software, and licensing, and has received nominations for nine Emmy Awards.

The great thing about Blue's Clues is that each of its episodes is packed with inspiring creativity that has helped multiple generations of kids develop valuable traits like critical thinking skills. It helped develop our minds step by step. This film is no different, as themes of independence are explored. Josh doesn't have his handy, fancy notebook for the first time, adding to the feeling of being anxiously lost in the big city. That is such a relatable thing for people of all ages. We've all been afraid of leaving home without something we think we can't live without, like a stuffed animal, a phone or a notebook. Blue's Big City Adventure seems to be addressing that fear in a very fun way.
