Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities 2022 Tv Series Review Trailer Cast Crew

Something sinister lurks in the shadows. Netflix has shared a special first look at "The Cabinet of Curiosities," its upcoming horror anthology series from Academy Award-winning director Guillermo del Toro. The streamer also set a premiere date for October 25.


“Curiosities” consists of eight stories, each of which aims to challenge traditional notions of horror. Featuring two original del Toro stories, “The Cabinet of Curiosities” also involves different directors and writers for each episode, including Jennifer Kent, David Prior, Guillermo Navarro, Keith Thomas, Panos Cosmatos, Catherine Hardwicke, Vincenzo Natali and Ana Lily. “With ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’, we set out to show the realities that exist outside of our normal world: anomalies and curiosities. We hand-pick and select a bevy of stories and storytellers to deliver these tales, whether they come from outer space, supernatural lore, or simply inside our minds," del Toro said in a statement. "Just in time for Halloween, each of these eight tales is a fantastical look inside the cabinet of delights that exists beneath the reality in which we live."


The story titles, which are revealed in the special first look, include "Dreams in the Witch's House", "Graveyard Rats", "Lot 36", "Pickman's Model", "The Autopsy", " The whispers", "The outside". ” and “Visualization”. Ben Barnes, Essie Davis, Crispin Glover, Andrew Lincoln, Eric André, Rupert Grint, Kate Micucci, F. Murray Abraham, Luke Roberts, Time Blake Nelson, Hannah Galway, Charlyne Yi, Glynn Turman and David Hewlett are among the ensemble of the series.


Del Toro and J. Miles Dale serve as co-executive producers and executive producers, with del Toro also serving as host. Gary Ungar is an executive producer, while Regina Corrado is a co-executive producer.


“Cabinet of Curiosities” will launch as a four-day, two-episode Netflix & Chills Halloween event, beginning with two episodes debuting on October 25 and ending on October 28.
