My Father's Dragon 2022 Movie Review Trailer Cast Crew

My Father's Dragon was announced by Netflix in a November 2018 animation channeling fanfare and was originally targeting a 2021 release. There have been numerous statements from creatives and executives describing the film as "very ambitious", so let's review everything we know about it so far.


My Father's Dragon is based on a 1948 illustrated children's book by Ruth Stiles Gannett. He has received the prestigious Newbery Medal recognizing "distinguished contribution to American literature for children." Interestingly, two more recent winners have also been adapted into children's movies for Disney+, The One and Only Ivan and Flora & Ulysses.

My Father's Dragon is the latest beautiful animated film from Cartoon Saloon, the creators of Song of the Sea and Wolfwalkers, and features an impressive voice cast that includes Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things, as well as Alan Cumming, Adam Brody and Whoopi Goldberg.

Adapted from the 1948 novel Elmer and the Dragon by Ruth Stiles Gannett and written by Inside Out writer Meg LeFauve, the adventure follows Elmer, who flees to a wild island to rescue a baby dragon.


"Our Cartoon Saloon actors, animators and artists have worked together to create this film, inspired by Ruth Stiles Gannett's incredible book," says director Nora Twomey. "We were brought together by a desire to tell a very special story of friendship, adventure and true bravery."


Cartoon Saloon is a small Irish animation studio based in Kilkenny. They rose to fame in 2010 when a film they produced, The Secret of Kells, unexpectedly earned an Oscar nomination for Best Animated Feature.


Their track record has been consistent ever since, with every feature they've produced enjoying a nod from the Academy. Wolfwalkers, his most recent film, was no exception and is currently available on Apple TV+.

One Piece 2023 Tv Series Review Trailer

 Netflix has just released the official trailer for the live-action version of “One Piece”, about a group of young pirates. The show, which will launch on August 31, is an adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's beloved manga series of the same name. The story follows a boy named Monkey D. Luffy (Iñaki Godoy) who can stretch his body as if it were made of rubber and travels with a group of friends called the Straw Hat Pirates in search of a treasure known as One Piece, which would make him the Pirate King.
