Being a father has made me incredibly sensitive to stories involving the relationship between son, father, and grandfather, and this has become the most emotional film I've ever seen. The flood of emotions was overwhelming, and I can say that "Avenue of the Giants" will stay with me for a long time as I continue to process it. Starting with the all-too-familiar family narrative of keeping secrets from family members for what is believed to be their own good, this story feels very personal from the beginning. We have a sweet old man, illness, trauma, and happy children, all in the opening scenes, and I could already feel the tears welling up. I immediately sensed the weight of what was to come and knew it was going to expose something raw.  Netflix has released a trailer for the new sci-fi anime, Moonrise, which shows the main character Jack in action against creatures that serve as antagonists in the Earth vs. Moon conflict. Vinland Saga is set to debut on Netflix and Crunchy Roll early in the new year. In order to get fans excited for the return of their favorite Viking epic anime, an official trailer featuring the ending song has been posted on their website. The trailer is set to LMYK's song “Without Love” and features a brief description that simply reads, “Against Fate: Crawl Cause and Effect. This is no doubt referring to Thorfinn's situation from season 1, as his actions in leaving home and what he did the entire time he was gone will surely have consequences. Vinland Saga Season 2 will stream every Monday at 12:30 p.m. JPT, starting January 9, 2023, with a simulcast on Crunchyroll and Netflix a bit later in the day for the US run.
