All's Fair 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer

This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Creators: Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Ryan Murphy Stars: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash The fact that a legal drama supposedly about female empowerment begins with a pilot episode written and directed by men probably tells you everything you need to know about “All’s Fair.” In fact, of the three episodes currently available on Hulu to commemorate the series premiere, only one features a significant creative credit from a woman, and it’s shared between executive producer Jamie Pachino and co-creator Ryan Murphy, who collaborated on the script for Episode 2.  But this is a review, so I’m obligated to elaborate: “All’s Fair” is a clumsy, condescending take on superficial, triumphalist feminism, undercooked even by the standards of the overworked Murphy, who co-created the series with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz. Admittedly, the tone is intentionally campy, and i...

Accused 2023 Tv Series Review Trailer Cast Crew

Fox has revealed the first look at its new Howard Gordon-produced crime drama, Accused, which is set to premiere in January next year. Based on the BAFTA-winning BBC crime anthology, the trailer for the new fifteen-episode series features an all-star cast and promises plenty of drama.

Fox has unveiled the first on-air promo for its upcoming anthology drama Accused, based on the International Emmy-winning British series. The project hails from 24 executive producers, Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa, and House creator and executive producer David Shore.

Creator: Jimmy McGovern
Stars: Shawn Doyle, Jill Hennessy, Abigail Breslin

The all-star cast includes Rachel Bilson, Whitney Cummings, Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin, Emmy winners Michael Chiklis, Margo Martindale, Molly Parker, Rhea Perlman, Malcolm-Jamal Warner along with Wendell Pierce, Jack Davenport and more.

Based on the BBC crime anthology, where each episode begins in a courtroom about the defendant not knowing what their crime was or how they ended up in the trial, Accused is told from the defendant's point of view. In the Fox version, which maintains the anthology format of the original, viewers discover how an ordinary person got caught up in an extraordinary situation, eventually revealing how one wrong turn leads to another, until it's too late to turn back.

Accused is a co-production of Sony Pictures TV and Fox Entertainment. Gordon, Gansa, Shore, Geller, Erin Gunn, All3Media America's Jacob Cohen-Holmes and All3Media International's Jimmy McGovern, Sita Williams and Roxy Spencer serve as executive producers.

Clocking in at just thirty seconds, the trailer opens with Dr. Scott Corbett, played by Michael Chiklis, looking surprised as the camera pans quickly to his hand holding an ax next to a blue tarp. The scene then cuts to a younger man in an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs. “I did what I did because I had to,” says the man, Danny (Reid Miller). “I'm going to make this right,” Wendell Pierce's character promises as viewers are also shown more footage of the defendants and their situations, many of whom are heard protesting their innocence and lamenting their plight. From the trailer, viewers can expect a new crime, story, mystery, and case in each of the fifteen episodes. Viewers can also catch a glimpse of the tears Margo Martindale asks as the video ends.

The teaser trailer also promises a full cast. In addition to Chiklis, Fegley, Pierce and Martindale, Accused will star Shawn Doyle (Star Trek: Discovery) as Eric Broder, Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine, Scream Queens) as Esme Brewer, Whitney Cummings (2 Broke Girls) as Brenda. , Aisha Dee (The Bold Type) as Aaliyah Harris, Robert Wisdom (Face/Off, The Loft) as Mitch Becker, Josh Cruddas (Polar) as Bragg, Tara Rosling (Star Trek: Discovery) as Dr. Grotstein and Sean Kleier ( Wedding Season) as Zeke Thompson. Rachel Bilson (who rose to fame playing Summer Roberts in the hit drama The OC), Molly Parker (who played Alma Garrett in Deadwood), Rhea Perlman (Carla Tortelli in Cheers), Jack Davenport (James Spencer/Lancelot in Kingsmen : The Secret Service) and Malcolm-Jamal Warner (The Cosby Show's Theo Huxtable) will also appear in unknown roles.

Accused is based on the BBC's BAFTA-winning crime anthology series. The upcoming series will tell the stories of fifteen intense and current crime cases in a provocative and fast-paced way. Each episode will explore a different city and crime, presenting an entirely new case in each, telling the story of the defendant opening up in a courtroom before using a series of emotional and evocative memories to piece together what got them there. The goal of the series is to show how a seemingly ordinary person can make an impulsive decision that ends up impacting his life and the lives of others forever. The series is executive produced by Emmy Award winner Gordon, the showrunner of 24 and co-creator of Homeland. Joining him as executive producers are Alex Gansa (Homeland, 24) and David Shore (House, The Good Doctor). Marlee Matlin, Billy Porter, Tazbah Rose Chavez and Chiklis are the directors.

Accused will premiere on Sunday, January 22, 2023 on Fox.
