Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure 2022 Tv Series Review Trailer Cast Crew

As the personification of the laid-back lifestyle, Gudetama has been quite a popular cartoon character. His unique combination of cuteness and a fun, relatable disposition has attracted fans from all over the world. Now, Netflix has spotlighted this adorable egg with its own live-action/CG series called "Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure" premiering in mid-December. So the series is able to meet all this egg appointment.

While Gudetama has already been on various media platforms (TV, music, video games), this Netflix series is arguably the most mainstream exposure the character has ever received and the show was well aware that many new viewers are likely to interact with it. . with the character for the first time. So, in case you're worried about not knowing anything about Gudetama, you'll be happy to know that no prior knowledge about the character is required for you to enjoy the show.

Stars: Shunsuke Takeuchi, Akiyoshi Nakao, Serena Motola

Actually, it is in that way that the whole show stays true to the essence of Gudetama. It is a show that you can watch to relax and just enjoy as it is quite easy to watch. The episodes are bite-sized and each averages just 10-12 minutes long, so if you want to binge-watch all 10 episodes of the season or want to sneak in an episode between tasks, you can definitely do it with this show.

While there is an overarching story, Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure doesn't really have heavy story beats or big realizations. The show shines just by absorbing Gudetama's spirit of "just take it and enjoy it". So while I will say the show is nice, just don't go into it expecting it to deliver some deep message or anything of the sort. The show is great being what it is: a likeable show with cute characters with moments that will make you smile and laugh. THAT is what the program does quite well.

Although it's called Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure, the spotlight doesn't just belong to the lazy egg. Shakipiyo chick shares the spotlight and definitely carries her part of the show. Some may even argue that Shakipiyo becomes the main protagonist of the show from time to time.

You see, the thing with an egg that just doesn't care about being the main focus of the show gets a bit problematic when big things happen and Gudetama just doesn't seem to care. While that is fun to watch, it becomes challenging in terms of delivering amazing moments and even when it comes to story progression. Therein lies the genius of having Shakipiyo as the other main character of the show. Unlike Gudetama's disposition, Shakipiyo is an adorably cute character who displays a wide range of emotions. Panic, joy, hope, despair, excitement…all of these emotions are used by Shakipiyo in an endearing way that allows the show to communicate the importance of various moments in history. More importantly, this complements Gudetama's apathy so well that, together, his vibe and dynamics improve.

There really isn't much else to say about the show, other than I can definitely say it's worth watching. Watching Gudetama and Shakipiyo go on a quest to find their mother while getting into trouble in between is just a comforting viewing experience. If you need to watch something to just relax and enjoy, Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure hits the spot. Do like the egg and accept everything. Tenderness and humor will definitely be able to put a smile on your face.

A show is not without its conflicts, even for a light-hearted one like this. In Gudetama: An Eggcelent Adventure, Gudetama is indeed nearing his expiration date and no one knows what it means to be a rotten egg. They need to find their mother before that happens, even if Gudetama is too lazy to care about it.

I mentioned earlier how the two of them set off into the wide world outside of their fridge. They are a duo of an egg and a chick running in a world populated by humans, their journey will not be easy. They will find themselves in many dangerous situations, from revolving sushi bars, train rides and hungry customers.

In the midst of their journey, the two would come across all kinds of eggs from hard boiled eggs, Tamagoyaki to Chawanmushi and even learn how each one of them is made. It is from here that Gudetama will begin to think about his own path and what he must do before he rots away.

Gudetama: An Eggcelent Adventure in general has a fairly simple plot. If you squint hard enough, you can already see where the plot is going.
