2026 is a monumental year for *Zillennials* everywhere—well, at least if you’re a Disney fan. If you haven’t realized it yet, it’s not just the anniversary of *Hannah Montana*, but also the anniversary of *High School Musical*! And all in the same year? Twenty years later, the nostalgia hits you like a brick the instant Miley Cyrus steps onto the scene with her blonde bangs and that shiny gold belt. Although Miley herself looks mature and elegant now, her Tennessee personality shines through instantly the moment she sets foot on the set—the very home of the Stewarts! But, almost immediately, you feel that something is missing.  That’s because most of the show’s main cast doesn’t appear in this anniversary special. Even so, I can’t complain, considering that Miley is the sole reason we had the opportunity to enjoy this special at all. Twenty years ago, when I was just a little girl myself, I had a poster of the pop star with the double life hanging on my pink and purple walls (quite...

Treason 2022 Tv Series Review Trailer Cast Crew

Betrayal on Netflix is a super twisted thriller that has everything from Russian spies to a deadly love triangle and a potentially deadly threat. It's been described as The Bodyguard meets John Le Carré, making it a must watch as far as we're concerned. Betrayal stars Charlie Cox as Britain's top U16 agent, Adam Lawrence, and also features Quantum of Solace actors Olga Kurylenko and Oona Chaplin.

As part of its post-Christmas offering, Netflix will release a spy-themed limited series titled Betrayal starring Daredevil actor Charlie Cox. As part of its preparation for the release of the series, the streamer has released the official trailer for the series. Coming from the author of Bridge of Spies, the trailer shows the deception, lies and betrayal that come with being part of the world of espionage.

Stars: Ciarán Hinds, Beau Gadsdon, Samuel Leakey

The trailer begins with a dark announcement, "Thirty-six hours ago an attempt was made to kill the head of MI6." In the aftermath of the attack on the chief, his deputy is meanwhile propelled into the chain of command to replace him. Step forward Adam Lawrence of Cox – young man and father, inexperienced – but the job has to be done. It begins to become clear that the plot to take out the leader is part of a larger nefarious thought process, with a politician seemingly being blackmailed into backing out of a race. "It's an unstable time," warns Adam's superior while alluding to the doubt many within the agency will have about his competence. But he also offers solid advice, "Trust no one."

Soon things start to turn in circles for Adam Lawrence de Cox. First, the CIA thinks he's been compromised, then, an ex-Russian from his past, Kara (Olga Kurylenko) returns - is everything as it seems? Apparently Kara pulled the strings that got Adam the top gig, and now she's here to collect. Everything starts to get worse when his family is threatened by unknown forces, his wife doesn't believe in his innocence and now Adam is accused of betraying his country. “I am not a double agent,” he proclaims.

Betrayal is created by writer Matt Charman, who also doubles as the series' executive producer. The series is helmed by director Louise Hooper alongside Sarah O'Gorman. Joining Charman in the executive producer pool are Foz Allan and Valery Ryan. Alongside Cox and Kurylenko, Treason also boasts an impressive cast that includes Oona Chaplin (Game of Thrones), Ciarán Hinds (Zack Snyder's Justice League), and Tracy Ifeachor (The Originals).

Betrayal follows Adam Lawrence, played by Charlie Cox, who was groomed and trained by M16. He seems to have his life in order and his career seems set, but his past comes crashing down on his present in the form of Kara, a Russian spy with whom he shares a difficult history. Adam must then reassess his life and finds himself at the center of a deadly love/hate triangle with Kara and his wife Maddy, each determined to destroy the others. The three try to expose each other's secrets and navigate delicate political and diplomatic relationships while trying to protect those they love.

Betrayal premieres all 5 episodes on Netflix December 26th.
