Legion of Super-Heroes 2023 Movie Review Trailer Cast Crew

 DC is poised to have a huge year on the big screen in 2023, but they're also starting the year off strong with their upcoming direct-to-video animated film Legion of Super-Heroes. The movie just dropped its first trailer earlier this week and now DC's next adventure has a release date. Warner Brothers Home Entertainment has announced that Legion of Super-Heroes will be released on 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and Digital on February 7, 2023.


The film will come with five new feature films titled “The Legion Behind the Legion”, “Meet the Legionnaires”, “Brainiac Attack: The Intellect Behind the Super-Villain” and “Down to Earth: The Supergirl Story”. This movie is exciting for many reasons, but the main reason is that it introduces Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes in the new animated continuity kicked off by Superman: Man of Tomorrow. This will be the sixth film in this continuity and it comes from Green Lantern: Beware My Power director Jeff Wamester.

From the trailer, Legion of Super-Heroes looks to be another well-animated, action-packed, and fun adventure in the DC Universe. The story will see Superman bring a newly minted Supergirl back to the 31st century to train with the Legion of Super-Heroes. It's about Kara adjusting to her new life as she hones her powers as a new threat looms on the horizon. Any DC fan who has read the comics or consumed the company's many classic television series will be familiar with this type of story. Both Superman and Supergirl have fought alongside the Legion of Super-Heroes countless times before. The Legion have appeared on TV shows like Smallville, Justice League Unlimited, Superman: The Animated Series, and they even had their own underrated eponymous animated series back in the mid-2000s that ran for two seasons.


Legion of Super-Heroes will be the sixth entry in the Tomorrowverse, a collection of DC animated films that share a cohesive animation style and continuity. The shared universe began in 2020 with its namesake Superman: Man of Tomorrow and has continued with Justice Society: World War II, Batman: The Long Halloween, Parts One and Two (all 2021), and Green Lantern: Beware My Power (2022). . A seventh film in the DC sub-franchise, titled Justice League: Warworld, is expected to open later in 2023 after Legion of Super-Heroes.


The futuristic team also had major roles in the popular CW series Supergirl and the animated film Justice League vs. the Fatal Five. The Legion has been all over the DC Universe, so it will be interesting to see what this particular movie brings up. So far, the new DC Animated Universe that began with Man of Tomorrow has been nothing but quality. Justice Society: World War II, Batman: The Long Halloween, and Green Lantern: Beware My Power have simply raised the bar for DC animation. All signs point to the Legion of Super-Heroes continuing that heroic upward trend.


The Winchesters' Meg Donnelly leads the Legion of Super-Heroes voice cast as Kara/Supergirl, with Jensen Ackles, Darren Criss and Matt Bomer reprising their roles from previous Tomorrowverse films as Batman, Superman and The Flash, respectively. Legion of Super-Heroes will also feature the voices of Harry Shum Jr. as Brainiac 5, Cynthia Hamidi as Dawnstar, Gideon Adlan as Phantom Girl, Ely Henry as Bouncing Boy, Yuri Lowenthal as Mon-El, Victoria Grace as Shadow Lass, Daisy Lightfoot as Triplicate Girl, Jennifer Hale as Alura, and Eric Lopez as Cosmic Boy and Chemical King. Ben Diskin, Zeno Robinson and Robbie Daymond also star.


Legion of Super-Heroes will be released on 4K Blu-ray, Blu-ray and Digital on February 7, 2023

 Netflix has just released the official trailer for the live-action version of “One Piece”, about a group of young pirates. The show, which will launch on August 31, is an adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's beloved manga series of the same name. The story follows a boy named Monkey D.
