Paramount+ has announced a premiere date for its upcoming original series “Wolf Pack,” as well as a new trailer and additional casting for the show, Variety has learned exclusively.
Revealing details at New York Comic Con, Paramount+ shared news that "Wolf Pack" will premiere on Thursday, January 26, 2023, the same day as "Teen Wolf: The Movie."

Before being canceled after season 6, the Teen Wolf series garnered a loyal following with its rich mythology, well-choreographed action scenes, and coming-of-age antics. Considering how the show's all-around approach to dark werewolf mayhem and emotional teen melodrama made it a huge hit on MTV, it's likely the Wolf Pack spinoff will follow a similar path.
The original Teen Wolf follows the adventures and misadventures of teenager Scott McCall, who is bitten by a mysterious animal one day. Soon after, his life is turned upside down when the bite gradually turns him into a werewolf, granting him superhuman abilities. As he struggles to balance his normal teenage life with his werewolf desires and responsibilities, his best friend Styles plays detective to explore the underbelly of his town. Teen Wolf is led by an incredibly talented cast, including Tyler Posey, Dylan O'Brien, Tyler Hoechlin, Colton Haynes, Holland Roden, Crystal Reed, Shelley Henning, and Arden Cho, among many others.
Along with the cast announced as Sarah Michelle Gellar, Armani Jackson, Rodrigo Santoro, Bella Shepard, and more, the streamer shared that Bailey Stender, Chase Liefeld, Hollie Bahar, Lanny Joon, Rio Mangini, Stella Smith, Zack Nelson, and James Martinez have joined. The news came during the joint Paramount+ “Teen Wolf: The Movie” and “Wolf Pack” panel at New York Comic Con. The final panel featured a conversation between writer/executive producer Jeff Davis and cast members Gellar, Santoro, Jackson, Shepard, Chloe Rose Robertson, and Tyler Lawrence Gray.
The series is based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, which follows a teenage boy and girl who witness the appearance of a supernatural creature during a California forest fire. Injured during the chaos, the pair, along with two other teenagers, realize that a werewolf had bitten them.
"Wolf Pack" is part of Davis' multi-year deal with MTV Entertainment Studios, and he is currently working double-duty for Paramount+, also writing and producing the film "Teen Wolf." Along with Davis, Joe Genier, Mike Elliott and Karen Gorodetzky serve as executive producers for Capital Arts. Jason Ensler, Gellar and Christian Taylor are also executive producers.
The show will premiere on the service on January 26 in the US and Canada, while the UK, Australia and Latin America will receive it the following day on the 27th.
