Love to Hate You 2023 Tv Series Review Trailer Cast Crew

It goes without saying that Netflix has a fantastic collection of romantic Korean dramas, including It's Okay to Not Be Okay, Crash Landing On You, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, Healer, and many more. K-drama fans, on the other hand, continually crave more of the genre while binge-watching existing dramas, even to the point of rewatching them multiple times as they are quite exceptional. With viewers already curious about what this year holds for them, Netflix has finally unveiled the long-awaited drama Love to Hate You.

Kim Jung Kwon's upcoming Netflix original series Love to Hate You stars Arthdal Chronicles' Kim Ok Bin and Vagabond's Yoo Teo in the lead roles. Since the drama is not licensed internationally by South Korean cable TV networks, all ten episodes will be available to stream on Netflix on the release date. While we're at it, here's everything we know about Love to Hate You.

Stars: Kim Ok-bin, Teo Yoo, Ell

Netflix recently released the official trailer for the drama, and here is our version of the story based on it. Yeo Mi-Ran is a rookie lawyer at Gilmu Law Firm who refuses to back down no matter what and she absolutely hates losing to a man. In fact, she goes out of her way to knock out gangsters to prove her point and showcase a woman's strength. Nam Gang-Ho, on the other hand, is the most successful actor in South Korea due to his handsome looks and the best on-screen chemistry with the actresses.

In reality, he doesn't trust women, which is probably due to something in his past. And since Yeo Mi Ran's firm deals primarily with the entertainment industry, she meets Nam Gang-Ho and concludes that he is not the saint the public perceives him to be. In her attempt to prove Nam Gang-Ho's true nature, she grows closer to him. Meanwhile, Nam Gang-Ho, who is wary of women, finds her intriguing. Will they be able to find love for each other in the midst of their war to destroy each other, thereby filling the void in their lives?

"For a lawyer who hates losing to men and an A-list actor who is wary of women, love means nothing until they are forced to date each other."

Although the cast of Love to Hate You does not include industry-leading stars like Lee Min Ho or Lee Jong Suk, the actors feel perfectly balanced by the material they have chosen and the roles they have created. Yeo Mi Ran, a fierce lawyer, is played by Kim Ok Bin, who is also the female lead of the film. First seen in 2005's Voice, the actress has starred in several hit movies and TV shows including The Front Line, The Villainess, and Children of a Lesser God. Furthermore, her performance as Tae Al Ha in Arthdal Chronicles was outstanding, while her role as Lee Hwa Sun in Dark Hole, a groundbreaking zombie series, revealed her full acting potential.

Popular figure Nam Kang Ho is played by Yoo Teo, who plays her character's distrust of women. Fans have seen the actor in a variety of dramas, including Live Up to Your Name and Dr. Brain, as well as movies like Vertigo, Pawn, and Seoul Searching. Nonetheless, his supporting roles in the Arthdal Chronicles as Ragaz and Vagabond as Park Su Chan have earned him national recognition.

While these two are the lead actors and actresses in the drama, Kim Ji Hoon and Go Won Hee will play major roles as their best friends, Do Won Joon and Shin Na Eun, respectively. The former is a seasoned actor who has appeared in dramas like Flower of Evil, Flower Boy Next Door, and Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area. Go Won Hee, on the other hand, is known for her roles in Strongest Deliveryman, Revolutionary Sisters, and Calm Down. Among the supporting cast of the drama are Lee Joo Bin (Mr. Sunshine), Kim Sung Ryung (The Heirs), Choi Yoon So (Penthouse Season 3: War in Life), and Jung Kyu Soo (Beyond Evil).

Moving on to the production team, the series is directed by Kim Jung Kwon, a well-known filmmaker and screenwriter. He made his directorial debut in 2000 with Ditto, a film that has stood the test of time and established his worth as a filmmaker. It took him a while to develop more impactful movies until he released Babo: Miracle of a Giving Fool in 2008.

Despite numerous ups and downs in his career, he always returned to the profession with outstanding television dramas and movies, such as Snow Is on the Sea, I Hate You Juliet, and Lie After Lie. Given his knack for creating romantic dramas and movies, Love to Hate You might be just what K-drama fans need from the filmmaker. The scriptwriter is Choi Soo Young, who previously wrote scripts for hit dramas like My ID is Gangnam Beauty, 7 First Kisses, and Pure Love.
