Who Killed Jill Dando is a new documentary series coming to Netflix. Netflix's documentary platform has truly transformed the way we experience real-life stories. It has become a global stage for all kinds of issues, even those that might have gone unnoticed in traditional media. What is surprising is how they mix storytelling techniques, interweaving investigative journalism, artistic style and personal narratives. This leads to documentaries that break the mold in captivating ways.


To reach a global audience, Netflix is introducing a new documentary series, Who Killed Jill Dando, an unsolved murder case of a journalist and television host. If you like watching documentary series and want to know what the next one is about, we have it all covered for you.


Jill Dando was a journalist, television presenter and news presenter and one of the most recognizable faces on British television in the 90s. She presented a variety of programmes, including Crimewatch, Songs of Praise, Holiday, a holiday show and Inspectors of antiques. In 1997, the BBC named her Personality of the Year. Jill was so professional that people treated her like "TV Diana." She was the nation's sweetheart and was also known as the "golden girl of British television." She was murdered at the door of her house, in broad daylight.


There were many theories about who was responsible for the murder, such as criminal networks, mafia, Russians, and jilted lovers. Barry George, a local resident who lived near Dando, was charged with her murder following widespread media coverage and an extensive investigation by the Metropolitan Police. He was convicted in 2001, but after forensic evidence was proven invalid, he was released in 2007 pending an appeal. After Barry Geoge's acquittal, there were no further serious investigations into Jill Dando's death.


The documentary series is directed by Marcus Plowright, known for his work on Fred and Rose West: Reopened. The Docuseries is produced by Emma Cooper, known for her work on Mystery of Marilyn Monroe: The Unheard Tapes. Her family, her friends, journalists, investigators and her lawyers will appear in the series, as her stories and stories will be included in the exclusive interviews.
