This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Creators: Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Ryan Murphy Stars: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash The fact that a legal drama supposedly about female empowerment begins with a pilot episode written and directed by men probably tells you everything you need to know about “All’s Fair.” In fact, of the three episodes currently available on Hulu to commemorate the series premiere, only one features a significant creative credit from a woman, and it’s shared between executive producer Jamie Pachino and co-creator Ryan Murphy, who collaborated on the script for Episode 2.  But this is a review, so I’m obligated to elaborate: “All’s Fair” is a clumsy, condescending take on superficial, triumphalist feminism, undercooked even by the standards of the overworked Murphy, who co-created the series with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz. Creature 2023 Tv Series Review Trailer

Adapted from the novel “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley, the Turkish series “Creature” (Yaratilan) unfolds as an epic narrative that delves into one of humanity's deepest inquiries: the mysteries of death and the afterlife. The story is set in the context of the last period of the Ottoman Empire at the beginning of the 20th century, stretching from Bursa to Istanbul.

The series introduces us to Ziya, an energetic, bold, brilliant and passionate young medical student, played by Taner Ölmez (known for his role in “The Protector”). Ziya's burning aspiration is to excel as a doctor and discover cures for infectious diseases that remain impervious to conventional medicine.

Stars: Taner Ölmez, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, Sifanur Gül

"I wonder what will happen if you awaken the beast within." Netflix presents the trailer for “Creature”, a new Turkish series that reinvents Mary Shelley's classic tale of Frankenstein. Set in the historical context of the Ottoman Empire, the show is directed by Çagan Irmak and invites viewers to explore one of humanity's most fundamental questions: the mysteries surrounding death and the afterlife.

Ziya's deepest desire is to excel as a doctor and find remedies for the numerous epidemics that continue to baffle the medical world. His life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Ihsan, another doctor who walks the fine line between genius and madness. The brave but forbidden experiment that these two passionate souls embark on will cost them dearly and trigger unforeseen consequences.

The series stars Erkan Kolçak Köstendil as İhsan, alongside Taner Ölmez as Ziya, and features a cast that includes Engin Benli, Şifanur Gül, Bülent Şakrak, Sema Çeyrekbaşı and Devrim Yakut. This adaptation offers a new perspective on the classic tale, incorporating darker elements that add a unique twist to the narrative.

“Creature” (also known as “Yaratılan” in Turkish) emerges as a collaboration with Turkish filmmaker Çagan Irmak, known for his work in several films and series such as “Whisper If I Forget”, “Are We OK?”, “Lovebird” , “Remember us”, “Gülizar” and “Yesilçam”. The series is inspired by Mary Shelley's original 1818 novel, "Frankenstein." The project's executive producers include Saner Ayar, Ayse Durmaz and Cengiz Çagatay.

Netflix will premiere Çagan Irmak's “Creature” series, and viewers can expect to experience the story when it begins streaming on October 20, 2023, this fall.
