All's Fair 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer

This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Creators: Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Ryan Murphy Stars: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash The fact that a legal drama supposedly about female empowerment begins with a pilot episode written and directed by men probably tells you everything you need to know about “All’s Fair.” In fact, of the three episodes currently available on Hulu to commemorate the series premiere, only one features a significant creative credit from a woman, and it’s shared between executive producer Jamie Pachino and co-creator Ryan Murphy, who collaborated on the script for Episode 2.  But this is a review, so I’m obligated to elaborate: “All’s Fair” is a clumsy, condescending take on superficial, triumphalist feminism, undercooked even by the standards of the overworked Murphy, who co-created the series with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz. Sayen: La Ruta Seca 2023 Movie Review Trailer

This sequel delves into the character's transformation into an action heroine after the tragic loss of her grandmother at the hands of a multinational organization that seeks to exploit her family's ancestral land and its natural resources.

Although the first part took us through the Chilean jungles and mountainous terrain, the sequel transports us to the Atacama Desert, where Sayen is an unjust fugitive, becoming one of the most wanted criminals in the country.

Director: Alexander Witt
Stars: Enrique Arce, Jorge López, Alfredo Castro

One of the notable aspects of this Chilean trilogy is its initial conception as a complete story. This ensures that situations and conflicts do not seem prolonged, avoiding that feeling of having been let down. We are aware of the cliffhangers that await us and this approach creates suspense while keeping the narrative cohesive.

Additionally, the film is directed by Alexander Witt, known for his work on action sequences in renowned franchises such as James Bond, Pirates of the Caribbean, Bourne and Resident Evil: Apocalypse, which he also directed. His expertise is evident in several scenes, from motorcycle chases, hand-to-hand combat and even a helicopter chase in the middle of the desert, showing the Chilean director's touch.

Another point to highlight is that, like Sayen, actress Rallen Montenegro shares Mapuche heritage, which makes her an ideal choice to play this Latin American Beatrix Kiddo (from Kill Bill) who strives to combat the organization responsible for devastate local ecosystems.

It is true that Rayen does not try to redefine the conventions of the genre and, at times, falls into familiar tropes typical of this type of productions. There will be evil monologues, ruthless corporations, and downright evil antagonists.

However, this Prime Video sequel stands out for its clever use of available resources, highlighting the Mapuche conflict and an environmental issue of global relevance, while taking advantage of Chile's desert landscapes as an appropriate backdrop for its action sequences.
