The series picks up the story of Bong-soon's sixth cousin, Kang Nam-soon (Lee Yoo-mi), who has similar strength to his cousin. After getting lost in Magnolia, Nam-soon returns to South Korea to find her family. She successfully finds her mother (Kim Jung-eun) and her grandmother (Kim Hae-sook), but little does she know that a big gift awaits the trio.


Lee Yoo-mi triumphed after her pivotal role in Squid Game (2021). She was last seen in All of Us Are Dead (2022). Kim Jung-eun's latest endeavors are Missing: The Other Side (2020-2023) and DNA Mate (since 2022). Kim Hae-sook's last work was Revenant (2023). Speaking of Ong Seong-wu, he was last seen in the movie Starlight Falls (2023), while Byeon Woo-seok's last project was Soulmate (2023).


Netflix describes the series as: “Gifted with superhuman strength, a young woman returns to Korea to find her biological family, only to become embroiled in a drug case that could test her power.” After finding her mother and her grandmother, Nam-soon gets involved in a big drug case along with her family and two young men. Will they all endure the battle and end the war or will they succumb to it?


The K-drama will air every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. KST (Korean Easter Time), 9:30 p.m. EST (Easter time) and 6:30 p.m. PST (Pacific Time). The total episode count of the K-drama is still unknown, but fans can speculate at least 16 episodes based on the guidelines of frequently watched K-dramas.


Netflix announced on September 18 that it has partnered with JTBC to release Strong Girl Nam-soon for fans around the world. The K-drama will also be available on Netflix on October 7.
