This review contains plot details from the first three episodes of “All’s Fair,” which are now available on Hulu. Creators: Jon Robin Baitz, Joe Baken, Ryan Murphy Stars: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash The fact that a legal drama supposedly about female empowerment begins with a pilot episode written and directed by men probably tells you everything you need to know about “All’s Fair.” In fact, of the three episodes currently available on Hulu to commemorate the series premiere, only one features a significant creative credit from a woman, and it’s shared between executive producer Jamie Pachino and co-creator Ryan Murphy, who collaborated on the script for Episode 2.  But this is a review, so I’m obligated to elaborate: “All’s Fair” is a clumsy, condescending take on superficial, triumphalist feminism, undercooked even by the standards of the overworked Murphy, who co-created the series with Joe Baken and Jon Robin Baitz. The Burning Girls 2023 Tv Series Review Trailer

The chilling thriller series, “The Burning Girls,” now available on Paramount Plus, is an adaptation of the renowned novel by CJ Tudor. The show's lead roles are played by Samantha Morton, known for her role in “Fantastic Beasts,” and Ruby Stokes, known for her appearances in “Bridgerton” and “Lockwood & Co.” They depict a mother-daughter duo seeking a new beginning in the insular British town of Chapel Croft. However, this peculiar community harbors its own dark secrets, and unraveling the truth about its bloody history is dangerous.


Samantha Morton, who plays the role of Reverend Jack Brooks, single mother and vicar, shares her thoughts: “I was immediately drawn to this character-driven script, brought to life by a wonderfully talented and dedicated cast. On the surface, 'The Burning Girls' explores the concept of community, but underneath lies more of a survival-of-the-fittest dynamic. “Untangling this intricate web was absolutely exciting.”

For viewers eagerly awaiting the series, the release date for “The Burning Girls” episode 1 is set for Thursday, October 19, 2023. After the release of the initial episode, new content can be anticipated weekly, arriving every Thursday nights.
