Two-time Oscar winner Ben Proudfoot turns his lens toward Chris Hesse, a 90-year-old man brimming with energy who filmed the most significant historical events in Ghana. Director: Ben Proudfoot Stars: Edmund Addo, Anita Afonu, Chris Hesse As prime minister and, later, president of Ghana, Nkrumah oversaw the African nation’s peaceful separation from Great Britain and became a fervent advocate for Pan-Africanism. The Burning Girls 2023 Tv Series Review Trailer

The chilling thriller series, “The Burning Girls,” now available on Paramount Plus, is an adaptation of the renowned novel by CJ Tudor. The show's lead roles are played by Samantha Morton, known for her role in “Fantastic Beasts,” and Ruby Stokes, known for her appearances in “Bridgerton” and “Lockwood & Co.” They depict a mother-daughter duo seeking a new beginning in the insular British town of Chapel Croft. However, this peculiar community harbors its own dark secrets, and unraveling the truth about its bloody history is dangerous.

Samantha Morton, who plays the role of Reverend Jack Brooks, single mother and vicar, shares her thoughts: “I was immediately drawn to this character-driven script, brought to life by a wonderfully talented and dedicated cast. On the surface, 'The Burning Girls' explores the concept of community, but underneath lies more of a survival-of-the-fittest dynamic. “Untangling this intricate web was absolutely exciting.”

Stars: Aaron-Jon North, Lorelei Winterfrost, Samantha Morton

Ruby Stokes, who plays Jack's 15-year-old daughter Flo, adds: “It was a pleasure to work with such a talented and dedicated cast and crew. The personal highlight was sharing the screen with Sam, who I really admire.”

For viewers eagerly awaiting the series, the release date for “The Burning Girls” episode 1 is set for Thursday, October 19, 2023. After the release of the initial episode, new content can be anticipated weekly, arriving every Thursday nights.
