In episode 4 of A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, Baelor advised Dunk to demand a trial by combat with Aerion, because if he opted for a straight trial, he would be killed not only for striking a prince but also for allegedly kidnapping Egg. Dunk accepted Baelor's proposal because he knew he could take on Aerion in a one-on-one fight, but when he demanded a trial by combat, it backfired, because Aerion demanded a trial of seven.  This meant that Dunk would have to gather six other knights and fight Aerion and his six knights. Steffon was the first person to claim he would side with Dunk. Daeron said he would fall without much resistance during the trial to make up for the fact that he had lied about Dunk kidnapping Egg. And on the day of the fight, Egg convinced Lyonel, Robyn, Hardyng, and Beesbury to fight alongside Dunk. The Devil on Trial 2023 Movie Review Trailer

 Netflix released the trailer for its upcoming documentary series, “The Devil on Trial,” which is scheduled to premiere on October 17. Directed by Christopher Holt, the documentary delves into a chilling 1980s murder trial in America, where 'demon possession' was used as a defence, marking the first and last instance of such a case.


Using a combination of authentic home videos, dramatic reenactments, and interviews with key figures involved in the case, the documentary tells the heartbreaking story of 19-year-old Arne Cheyenne Johnson. He found himself on trial for the murder of his 40-year-old landlord, Alan Bono, claiming that he committed the act under the influence of demonic possession.

The story takes place several months before the tragic murder, when Johnson's girlfriend's 11-year-old brother, David, exhibited eerie signs of demonic possession. This included speaking in Latin and being inexplicably thrown into the air, to the astonishment of Ed and Lorraine Warren, renowned demonologists and paranormal investigators. Tragically, it is believed that the malevolent entity eventually transferred possession to Johnson, ultimately leading to the murder that sparked one of the most infamous and sensational trials in history.
