American Manhunt: Osama bin Laden 2025 Tv Series Review Trailer
The Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer “Fighter” hits theaters on Thursday, directed by Siddharth Anand, known for his work in “Pathaan” and “War.” The film has a star cast including Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover and Akshay Oberoi among others. As it releases during the Republic Day weekend, it is gaining positive attention from the audience.
Despite positive rumors, “Fighter” faced a setback as it was denied release in all Gulf countries except the United Arab Emirates. Analysts speculate that Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries might have reservations about the film's content.
Despite this, Bollywood trade analysts express confidence in the film's box office performance and predict an impressive opening weekend with earnings potentially exceeding Rs 100 crore.
Reports suggest that “Fighter” is inspired by real-life events, specifically the Pulwama attack and the Balakot airstrikes. The film reportedly has a strong patriotic theme, with dialogues addressing issues such as Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Indian surgical strikes. Some Pakistani actors on social media have hinted that the film may have an anti-Pakistan sentiment.
Responding to these allegations, director Siddharth Anand clarified during a media interaction on Tuesday, stating, “The main thing I want to reiterate and what has been said in the film is that our war is not against a country, it is against the terrorism. That's what Fighter represents. It is a fight against terrorism, not against a particular country. That is emphasized throughout the film.”
