Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir 2024 Tv Series Season 5 Review Trailer

I love this show and have loved it since it came out. And I think the reason why so many people are complaining that it's too slow is because of how long it took us to get to season 5. Because I think at the time of the show, the pacing isn't that bad. Season 1 sets up the premise of the world. Season 2 introduces some new heroes. Season 3 begins to have long-term consequences for mistakes. And season 4 is when all of Marinette and Adrien's mistakes come to light. And season 5 is crazy. All of this has canonically occurred in the span of months, but for us it has been years.

I don't think seasons 4 and 5 would have been as fun if they had come earlier. We are obsessed because we had to wait years for this. And season 4 absolutely blew me away. There was real character development that lasted. There were real consequences for mistakes. And it all ended with Marinette losing all the miracles except her own.

Star: Cristina Valenzuela, Bryce Papenbrook, Keith Silverstein

Most of us had assumed that each episode would be about the duo making a miraculous recovery. But aside from getting the miracle bunny back in the first episode, they haven't had much luck. Gabriel has finally grown some brain cells and actually has a plan in motion. And the fact that Nathalie, after ignoring Gabriel's flaws for four seasons, finally came out on top is surprising. She was really starting to hate her because of her blind loyalty. But now she's prioritizing Adrien (and boy does she deserve it).

And most surprising of all, the love square actually FLIPPED. We've been waiting for this for years. And finally it happened.

The love square change is the best thing that ever happened to Miraculous Ladybug. They both fell more in love with each other (I didn't even think that was possible). And Marichat's scenes look like fanfiction. Adrien is so obsessed with Marinette and it's the best thing that could have happened. And Marinette finally stopped being a little creeper and learned to communicate her feelings.

Honestly, the Elation episode blew me away. I never expected a kiss from Marichat and it was better than I could have imagined. But now, I will always hate Andre, the ice cream man, for not knowing how to take care of his own business. But I guess it at least brought conflict. Watching Marinette almost build up was very satisfying. Although a twisted part of me wishes it had happened. But seeing Cat Noir snap her out of her buildup with a kiss? How could she ask for more?

And I love Ladynoir's maturity. Sure, Marinette went a little wild at first. Especially in the Passion episode. OMG, Plagg mixed with Marinette is the best combination. She's a raging flirt and I'm here for it. And I'm convinced that she would have killed Nathalie if Nathalie hadn't been protected by the akuma. But after their awkward moments, Ladybug and Cat Noir were able to move on and remain the ultimate duo.

And Adrienette is canon! I really felt like that was never going to happen. And I'm glad they made us wait because that made it more satisfying. And shy Adrien is adorable. The fact that he kept coming back even though Marinette rejected him? Sweet boy. He is so happy that he is finally getting a taste of his own medicine. And getting a handshake when he went to kiss it has to hurt.

I HATE Gabriel. Previously, he would never have acumatized Adrien. The only reason she did it in Cat Blanc was because she discovered Adrien's identity as Cat Noir. But now? That man is not a father. At least before he pretended to care about him. Now, he'll break up with Adrien just to have a cool villain. He doesn't care about his son.

In fact, Gabriel doesn't care about Emelie either. Emelie specifically told Gabriel and Nathalie that she didn't want to be saved. She even asked Nathalie to keep Gabriel under control. The fact that he goes against this only shows that he doesn't really love Emelie. He would never have hurt her son or gone against what she asked if he really cared about her.

No, he's obsessed and this is a boost to his ego. Because let's be real for a second: he's doing this for power. He didn't need all the miracles. He wants them so he can control everything. I'm not even sure he would bring Emelie back if he had the choice. We already see him choosing his little revenge with Ladybug instead of saving Emelie and Nathalie's lives.
